Truth be told, this engagement was not only a surprise for Britney… but me too!
Britney is the talent behind Odum Design + Co. so when she approached me about a styled summer shoot in her own backyard, I knew this was gonna be something special. She and her partner, Lawrence, set up a romantic canopy complete with wine and of course, a fan. Lawrence playing set designer is an adorable behind the scenes, especially for what would happen next.
After 30 minutes or so, Brit stepped inside to feed their pups and Lawrence approached me with a ton of excitement. “I’m going to propose.” He spit it out like a run-on sentence and was already walking inside to grab the box. Britney’s birthday was in a few days, and he planned to pop the question then. But something just felt like this was the moment. I got myself ready and it was honestly more perfect than any plan.
The box hold special significance for Brit and Lawrence. It’s from the French film, Love Me If You Dare.
This was such a special one! Congrats to Britney + Lawrence.
